1900s Anchor Clean Germany Made PARTS.
This antique accordion is in need of some restoration, and the latch is broken. The latch has
a Pat# 1888 / 9. It does play, but most all the notes sound the same, and it may have some
air leaks. The 2 Bass buttons do work. The 2 Pull Tabs on top do not move very well, and I
did not force them. It has a black lacquered wooden body decorated with hand-painted flowers
and leaves. The bellows are in good condition, and seem to have good pressure. The bellows
are white paper decorated with tiny gold stars. The bellows fasteners and corner clamps are
made of pressed metal, and have Imperial Accordion name, 'Made in Germany' and the 2
anchor trademark. The anchor mark is also impressed in silver on the front side, along with
'Fabrik Marke'. When closed, the accordion measures 11”, by 9", by 5.5".
