This is a brand new, quality digital K-type thermometer DM6801 for high temperature measurements. It has one input for K-type thermocouples and can display the temperature up to 1999 degree F or 1300 degree C. The 3" blunt rounded tip stainless steel K-type thermocouple insertion probe provided in this set can measure a range up to 932 degree Fahrenheit or 500 degree Celsius.
The probe diameter is 0.118 inch or 3.0 mm. The stainless steel probe is 3 inch (7.5cm) long and has a spring loaded strain relieve. It comes with a high quality miniature thermocouple connector which has blades made from compensating metal chromel / alumel. The thermocouple plug has a brass strain relieve. The wire has a fiber glass inner insulation and stainless steel outer braid. The digital K-type thermometer has a large, easy to read display, it features one K-type thermocouple input and runs on a normal 9V battery (included).
This k-type thermometer and thermocouple probe set can be used for a wide range of applications and is protected from most corrosive substances. The k-type thermocouple can be mounted in ovens, kilns or furnaces. It is also used to monitor machines and liquids in industrial processes. In metal working it can be used to measure some melted metals, for example lead in bullet casting and some melted aluminum.
This K-type thermocouple sensor can be mounted in ducts, pipes, exhaust pipes to measure the temperature of gas or liquid.
