I have installed Roxy's Orchestration User Sets as described in the following video. This increases the number of available orchestral sounds from 16 to 64. Amazing for such a small instrument. Note that Roxy's Music Store is no longer in business. I also provide backup files on USB flash drive, so you can conveniently uninstall and reinstall Roxy's orchestration user sets as you wish (perform a "Factory Default" operation to return instrument to original factory condition - this does not uninstall the Alpine and Orchestra expansion kits):

Many people don't know that with Roland's free Set Editor software (available at Roland's website) any of the FR-7x original factory sets (such as OldParis or CiaoRome) can be converted to FR-1x format and installed at User Locations U1 through U4. For your convenience I provide these converted sets on USB flash drive along with original FR-7x Owner's Manual in PDF format.
Caution:
Do not pick up the instrument by the bass strap, as many people do with very small diatonic accordions. The bass strap of the FR-1x was not designed to support the full weight of the instrument. Use the shoulder straps to pick up or carry the instrument.
