If you do ANY kind of paper crafts that require intricate or precision cutting you owe it to yourself to try out a pair of these scissors. These are stainless steel, surgical grade, and extremely fine tip scissors. They measure 5 inches long and have the spring type closure handles which allow closing the blades with a very minimum amount of pressure. The actual cutting blade surface measures 5/8 inch in length and will cut into your material that distance.
The feather is cut from a 3x5 card and the other paper is lightweight stationary type paper, indicating the different weights that can be cut with these scissors. Cutting with these scissors does not bend or stretch the paper so it leaves a clean and crisp edge. This is due to the blades being so thin. I personally have a pair of each of these scissors and use them in my quillwork when small intricate cuts are required.
The shape of the cuts are shown on the black inserts shown with each style. The scissors do NOT make cuts that thick, those cuts are enhanced to show the shape of the cut and the orientation of the blades.
On the curved tip ones the cutting blade is very slightly curved.
