This is a great medium length stainless steel k-type insertion thermocouple probe with a K-Type sensor. The sensor is housed at the tip of a 6 inch long stainless steel probe, which comes with a 3 inch long handle. This K-type stainless steel temperature probe has a miniature k-type thermocouple connector, which will work with digital K-type thermometers from a wide range of manufacturers (see my shop for a good selection).
This k-type insertion thermocouple can be inserted in liquids or any object you like to measure. It is much easier to clean than the k-type thermocouple wire that comes with many thermometers. It is frequently used in HVAC, industrial and laboratory applications. This thermocouple set comes with two different handle colors, so you always know which probe is which when measuring two temperatures at the same time.
The temperature rating is for the tip of the stainless steel sensor, the handle and cable are stable to about 160F.
