UNIVERSAL ELECTRIC Electronic ACCORDION
Made in Italy 120 Bass
Here’s a very nice Universal Accordion, could be “ladies” size; the keyboard length is 16 5/8”, and the key width appears to be approximately 11/16”, or 17.46mm (or so).
The accordion appears to be in very good condition, with just a few very minor scratches.
The bellows appear to be in good condition (see photos).
Although we don’t have a cable for the electronic pickup, we were able to test the electronics by “jerry rigging” or “MacGyver-ing” a cable so we could test the electronics, and the electronics seem to be fully functional.
It’s a 120 bass model with 8 treble side switches and 3 bass switches, and a master switch on the treble side.
We didn’t find any keys or buttons that were sticking.
The 3 bottom (highest sounding G, G# & A) treble keys are a little weak (or silent) only on the “Oboe” & “Piccolo” settings, otherwise all keys appear to be fully functional.
The straps appear to be in good condition.
The “blanket” in the case is slightly frayed on one side, and it looks like something was attached to the top of the case (as evidenced by some rivets and some glue residue).
Despite it’s age, this accordion appears to be in overall excellent condition, and would be a great instrument for the student or advanced player, provided that they’re good with a slightly smaller keyboard.
