Vintage Hohner H-176 Accordion U43

Description

Item up for sale is a super cool vintage Hohner accordion marked on the underside with a number of H-176 and "U43". No case was found with this piece. Item has a serial number of 307655. All buttons and keys were tested and all produced noise when bellows were squeezed. Keys and buttons need a cleaning with keys showing some writing that looks to be permanent marker where the original owner marked them to assist with learning the instrument.
When bellows are expanded and compressed you can feel airflow. We do not see any rips or tears so we presume the corner seams have separation from age need to be sealed. Brass corners on the bellow show oxidation and need a polish. Surface / veneer shows areas of wear and loss with this being most notable around the edges of the keyboard as you can see in photos. Leather straps are present showing tarnish, patina and wear from age with metal buckles showing surface rust.
Felt pad under the keyboard shows wear and loss. Grille cloth visible through the holes in the rear panel shows wear and tear. All metal shows tarnish and patina and could use a polish. Metal corners of the body show different color tones on the right and left sides. When in closed and resting position this piece measures 10" top to bottom (top of body to lowest edge of keyboard) by 13-1/8" across the keyboard by 13-5/8" in depth (back of body to front lower edge of keyboard).
