This is the simplest form of Bowden Cable controls.  The Inner core of the wire is attached directly to the damper blade of the oval dampers.  Simply release the thumb screw and adjust the inner wire in or out to the proper position and tighten the thumb screw.
Cable operated dampers are a convenient way to
balance airflow to a diffuser. The model 800AWO is
an oval cable controlled damper used to control air
to a low profile plenum with an oval air inlet.
A commercial built oval damper, with ½" steel shaft,
bearings and blade stop, slips on to the collar of the
plenum. The opposite end of the sleeve is crimped
for easy installation of the flexible duct.
